I really do get the feel that tomorrow will be the best ever deadline day. So many big clubs still want new players. With Bale transfer done, could this cause a domino of deals? Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and maybe even Chelsea and Spurs all in the market for new players. Everton as well if Fellaini and/or Baines leave. Expect the unexpected. It will be special. Follow it all here!
And Arsenal appear to not be stopping at Ozil. Daily Telegraph reporting that the Gunners are also in talks to sign Angel di Maria.
Other sources having their say on the Ozil deal. Spanish outlet Cadena Ser say Ozil rejected PSG in favour of a move for Arsenal.
And Michael Laudrup says Swansea are hopeful of bringing a new striker in tomorrow.
Anyway, that is all from me today. Tomorrow is the big one. Join me in the morning, right through until the 11pm deadline. See you then!
David Hytner of the Guardian says QPR are hoping to sign out of favour Tottenham left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto. Spurs still hopeful of signing Fabio Coentrao but Real Madrid are keen to keep him.
Just as I thought may happen, Sky Sports now reporting that Manchester United have made contact regarding the signing of Mesut Ozil. This would be a big blow to Arsenal.
Rumours that West Brom have firmed up their interest in Sunderland's Stephane Sessegnon by making a £6 million bid.
Suspect the first Arsenal transfer of the day will be that of Emiliano Viviano, on a loan deal from Palermo. Travelled to London last night to complete his medical.
Brighton seemingly not keen on letting rivals Crystal Palace take their players! Brighton Argus reports that a bid of £5 million for Leonardo Ulloa and £1.75 million for Liam Bridcutt have both been turned down.
You do get the feeling the Mesut Ozil transfer is going to run right till the deadline. BBC and Sky have contrasting views over who is in for the German...
TRANSFER WINDOW CLOSES IN 13 HOURS
Paolo Di Canio was far from happy with his side at the weekend and despite a raft of new signings, he wants more. And the Guardian reports that former Liverpool defender Andrea Dossena is on his way to Sunderland for a medical.
Sky now taking the BBC stance that Man Utd are NOT in for Mesut Ozil.
@jacksonbaby07 - Cannot see a new defender coming in. Wenger very happy with Bacary Sagna at centre-back and sees new signings Mathieu Flamini as full-back cover.
@steve c - Agreed, United have had midfield problems for a while. Having to bring back Scholes was a clear sign of that. Ferguson managed to bring the team through before but they need an addition. Although Kagawa could fit that role as a creative midfielder, in my opinion.
My understanding is that Real Madrid are willing to sell and Arsenal are willing to stump up the money. The problem which may well arise is that Ozil does not particularly want to leave and will take some persuading to be convinced that his future lies at the Emirates. Is a signal of intent if nothing else but AW needs to get a big deal or 2 over the line.
@Housey_LFC - Who would you have preferred? Someone from in the Liverpool squad or a different addition from outside?
