Good morning and welcome to the live transfer window blog. I will be with you from now up until the 11pm deadline on Monday, keeping you across all the latest movements and done deals.
So, let's have a look at some of the rumours doing the rounds this morning...
Liverpool are lining up a double defensive swoop for Mamadou Sakho and Tiago Ilori, according to Mail Online.
It is believed that Brendan Rodgers is hoping to snap up the pair for £25 million from PSG and Sporting Lisbon respectively.
In the same article, Chelsea may decide against letting Victor Moses join Liverpool. The battle is on for the Nigerian winger with West Brom now thought to be leading the race.
See the above 'Club-by-club done deals' link for all the updated transfers including three new faces in at Tottenham yesterday!
Lots of eyes will be on Arsenal in these next few days. North London derby tomorrow but it is no secret that they want additions and the Mirror reports that they have enquired about Julian Draxler.
However, the 19-year-old has just signed a new contract and Schalke say they won't listen to offers under £60 million.
Southampton have made three big signings this summer, but Fulham are trying to snap up one of their players. Jack Cork has found himself behind both Victor Wanyama and Morgan Schneiderlin in the pecking order so far this season but Saints have rejected a bid below £3 million.
Big news coming out of Spain regarding Iker Casillas...
AS report that Iker Casillas could be set to sign for Barcelona in the next 48 hours. Can't see that happening personally but we shall watch this space!
DONE DEAL - Celtic complete the signing of Teemu Pukki from Schalke. The Scottish transfer deadline shuts tonight.
We may know a lot more after today's set of Premier League fixtures. Will Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini start for Everton? Will Yohan Cabaye return for Newcastle?
Ajax's Toby Alderweireld is in Madrid according to various sources, ready to seal his move to Atletico. Liverpool were strongly linked with the Belgian but this move may well pave the way for Martin Demichelis to complete a move to Manchester City.
Perhaps optimistically, we are expecting Gareth Bale's transfer to Real Madrid to go through today. Latest rumours suggest Madrid dropping their offer to ensure Cristiano Ronaldo remained the most expensive player in history to help encourage him to sign a new contract at the Bernabeu.
Arsene Wenger is preparing a move for long-term target Salomon Kalou, according to Mail Online. Wenger tried to sign the forward when he was playing for Chelsea but is hoping for better luck now that he has left the Premier League. A move for the Ivorian could signal the departure of Nicklas Bendtner to Crystal Palace.
Fair point @SpursFan1. Not sure the prospect of Kalou would have many Arsenal fans jumping around the living room...
Interesting to see most of you going for Spurs to spend the most before the transfer window shuts. Would've thought they are nearly done with transfers now and that most of their recent deals have used the imminent 'Gareth Bale' money?
News coming out from Goal.com - Tottenham have renewed talks with Fabio Coentrao. You do get the feeling that once the Bale move goes through it could signal a few departures from Real Madrid and set off a crazy deadline day.
@SpursFan1 - I am led to believe though that Benoit Assou-Ekotto could well be on his way out. May be a bit risky just having Rose given Tottenham's lofty ambitions?
Piers Morgan has awoken...
Joey Barton has been linked with a move away in this transfer window but he starts for QPR today against Leeds.
Birmingham Mail reports that Aston Villa have not received any offers for Shay Given. Liverpool have been linked with the Irishman as a replacement for Pepe Reina.
