Over 109 England 264/6 Broad 20* Bell 65*
Broad strikes the 1st ball of Watson's over very cleanly but straight to the man at short cover. Then the second one struck cleanly abit further to man at deeper extra cover. Then again to find the man at square leg. He has found the middle of the bat but not the gap in the field.
Then he tried smashing it and there's an inside edge that misses the stumps but Haddin dives and stops it from going fine to the boundary. Then Watson finds his outside edge that drops short of Clarke at 1st slip.
Maiden over but an eventful one
Over 110 England 266/6 Broad 21* Bell 66*

Over 111 England 266/6 Broad 21* Bell 66*
It is Watson again - his job, which he is doing very well, is to dry up the run rate. It's another maiden from Watson. His 10th.
Over 112 England 271/6 Broad 25* Bell 67*
Bell pushes a length ball from Starc through for a single. Then Broad finds that way through the off-side field - driven beautifully for 4 to bring up the 50 partnership. These two have really ground it out admirably.
Over 113 England 282/6 Broad 29* Bell 70*
Pattinson has come on for Shane Watson who is knackered after his spell and has gone off the field. Bell can guide the 3rd ball behind square down to the vacant 3rd man boundary for 3 runs. Broad then drives away at a very catchable height but he gets it through the gap for 4. Pattinson bowls the next ball down the legside and it is flicked off the pad past Haddin who is helpless for 4 leg byes.
Over 114 England 286/6 Broad 30* Bell 73*

Bell can prop forward and squirt the second ball out into the off-side for a single. Then Broad gets on one knee to sweep but mistimes and it just trickles for a single.
There's a small run out chance on the 3rd ball as Bell pushes into the covers and sets off. Bell guides the final ball towards 3rd man for 2.
Good over rotating the strike
Over 115 England 287/6 Broad 31 Bell 73*
Just a single from the first ball of Siddle's over. There's a couple of people suggesting this might end up being a drawn Test. IT'S ONLY DAY 3!
Over 116 England 292/6 Broad 36* Bell 73*
Broad lofts a ball from Agar through mid-wicket, it's in the air a long time but drops down ahead of the back peddling Hughes then hits the boundary rope for 4 to the crowd's delight. SIngle off the final ball.
Over 117 England 297/6 Broad 37* Bell 77*
Clarke has put in 2 short extra covers for Broad.
There's a close call for a run out which Dar refers to Umpire Erasmus but Bell has made his ground quite comfortably.
Bell then late cuts away to 3rd man for a sweetly timed four. It was a full length ball in the channel outside off
Over 118 England 297/6 Broad 37* Bell 77*
It is Agar to bowl to Broad who defends a few balls that keep low. The final ball is middled to Clarke at slip but Broad stands his ground and the umpire keeps his hands by his sides. They've used up all their referrals so they stand around remonstrating but have to deal with it.
Over 119 England 301/6 Broad 37* Bell 81*
It's gone a bit lively out there now.
Bell hits Siddle's ball wide of Haddin who just gets a glove on it but it goes for 4.
Over 120 England 301/6 Broad 37* Bell 81*
That really was a bad decision by Aleem Dar - unusual for him but Broad absolutely smashed the cover off it then just walked down to talk to Bell.
Agar is bowling to Broad who is "innocently" defending back up the track. Maiden over
Over 121 England 301/6 Broad 37* Bell 81*
Peter Siddle bowling to Bell. Full outside the off stump and Bell drives into the covers but the field is set to save 1. Final ball is chipped out by Bell again into the off side where it was cut off. Maiden over.
Over 122 England 302/6 Broad 38* Bell 81*
Broad defends the first 4 balls of Agar's 30th over, he is trying to vary his lengths but not getting a lot of turn. Final ball is pushed wide of cover for a single.
Over 123 England 307/6 Broad 39* Bell 85*
Siddle is continuing but looks like he is blowing (as they say in cricket parlance). Broad forward presses the second ball and somehow gets it wide of point for a single.
Bell cuts away the 4th ball for 4 - he sits up and waits for it then cuts it away. The lead is approaching 250 and this really has been a fantastically important partnership (if you ignore the fact that Broad should be back in the hutch)
Over 124 England 309/6 Broad 40* Bell 85*
Broad's non-walk is going to raise the discussion of the spirit of cricket again. A discussion that was done to death when Dinesh Ramdin was banned for appealing for a non-catch. The spirit of cricket is very hard to implement fairly and consistently.
Agar continues from the Radcliffe Road End - Broad nudges a single from the 4th ball and seems to be getting plenty of chat.
Over 125 England 309/6 Broad 40* Bell 85*
Watson is back on and bowling to Bell. He's bowling full and just wide of off-stump and guess what? Yes you've guessed it - it's a maiden. HIs economy rate is currently 0.23
Over 126 England 309/6 Broad 40* Bell 85*
Agar to Broad who tucks away into the leg-side. You can tell he is getting plenty of abuse from the Aussies standing near the bat. The final ball flies up off his boot to shouts of catch but it squirts into the off side nowhere near anyone.
Over 127 England 313/6 Broad 40* Bell 89*
Watson bowling a good length. Then fires one wide which Bell reaches to try and hit for 4 but it gets the bottom edge and just trickles to the keeper. There is a hint of reverse swing but the Bell plays a late dab to the boundary for 4 to ruin Watson's economy rate.
